History: 

Psyche has been with me for the majority of her life. I bred her parents with the intention of training and selling her litter as various working dog prospects. I unexpectedly became pregnant myself within a month of her birth and was not able to dedicate the resources that I normally would towards raising/training/marketing her litter. However, she is crate trained and knows her basic obedience. In May of last year she was adopted, but I repossessed her in August after it became apparent she was being abused/neglected. She has lived with us since. Her mental fortitude is excellent and she shows little fear/anxiety around people/public spaces despite what she experienced. Anyone interested in her will have to be willing to undergo a criminal background check. 

Ideal Home: 

Psyche is looking for an active home. She would make a great regular pet in a home with people who exercise her regularly. She would also be a perfect fit for trainers looking for a green dog with an aptitude for sports like dock diving, fast cat, and/or agility. We have not evaluated her aptitude for detection, but could do so easily at request. Due to her past experience, I would not put her into service or protection work. Any adopters within 2 hours of our location in Titusville, FL would receive 10 free training sessions with us in order to help with her transition to a new home. We are available contacts to adopters throughout the dog’s lifetime and will always be available to answer any questions or offer any training advice.

Personality:

She has strong toy drive and is extremely affectionate. If she could be your second set of skin, she would. She is friendly and gets along well with most dogs. She will spin circles in the crate if she gets excited about anything around her. Psyche is safe with my toddler, but has a tendency for zoomies that could knock a child over if parents weren’t vigilant.
