Salty Dog Rescue

Salty Dog Rescue is a veteran-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving dogs at risk of euthanasia in overcrowded and under-resourced shelters, predominantly throughout Central Florida.

They bring dogs to Brevard County, where they receive safe foster homes, veterinary care, love, and the time they need to decompress and prepare for their forever families. They focus on dogs whose time is running out due to medical needs, age, fear, or simply a lack of shelter space.

In our first year of operation, they have already saved more than 100 dogs, giving each one a second chance at a safe and loving home. Because they are completely foster-based, every open foster home gives us the opportunity to say “yes” to another dog in need. We believe a shelter deadline should never determine the value of a life. No dog should be left behind or forgotten.
